Memorial Inscription at Sale: In fond memory of my dear husband George CORIDAS born Greenponds, Tasmania 1872 died Mewburn Park Maffra 1936. A devoted husband and father. Note: Beneath Blue Hills, a history of Mewburn Park, Riverslea and Tinamba by Wal Vardy. p29 The author is going through the families that bought land at the sub-division of Mewburn park Estate (just out of Maffra). Then we come to Lot 17 bought by G. Coridas in 1906 for [pounds]18 an acre. Trevor (his son)and Ivy Coridas had four sons, Barry (dec) who married Joyce Harris and had five children, David (dec) who married Beverley Powney (and had three children), Roger, who married Beverley Goldsworth (and has a son) and Kim, who married Julie Briggs. Trevor was a shire councillor 1972-1975 and 1976-1979. Kim is still out at Mewburn Park
